About Dr. Martinez
Dr. Sarah Martinez is originally from Roswell, Georgia and has a love for being active and has played sports her whole life. From swim team, to gymnastics, cross country to tennis, Dr. Martinez has always had a love for moving and enjoying God's creation through being in the great outdoors. Through her undergraduate education at the University of Georgia she led group exercise classes (in formats such as Pilates, Yoga, Weight Lifting) while studying her bachelors in Exercise Science. After graduating and working as an Exercise Specialist at the CDC for two years, she decided she wanted to help those who were in pain and were held back by dysfunction. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University, publishing research on the benefits of Tai Chi on balance and reducing back pain through yoga. She went on to work in outpatient orthopedics using her previous experience in sports and exercise. She later served as a lead clinician for several years, with many happy patients returning to see her for other injuries. Since graduation, she has become certified in trigger point dry needling, has completed two years of additional orthopedic manual skills training, and is awaiting her exam for Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist.
Most importantly, Dr. Martinez has a love for the Lord and his word, has been married to her sweet husband for 15 years, and has 4 young children that she adores. She loves to cook, host friends and family for meals, travel, exercise, and read books about her faith.
